Ms. O’Brien is the Executive Director of Horizon Housing Society, a not for profit property management organization that provides affordable, integrated and supported housing to people with mental illness and other special needs. Prior to this appointment she was a VP of Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust.
Ms. O’Brien is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University where she earned a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science. In addition to being a member of the CWES Board of Directors, Ms. O’Brien is a member of the Board of the Alberta Global Forum and is involved with the United Way Women's Initiative. She is also a recipient of the Terry Fox Humanitarian Scholarship recognizing young community leaders.
