Sue MacKenzie is an Oil and Gas Industry Executive with over twenty years of energy sector experience in both line operations and service support areas. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from McGill University and an MBA (Specialization: Management of Organizations and Human Resources) from the University of Calgary.
Sue has worked in corporation-wide policy/program development and service alignment, emphasizing support and delivery of business objectives. In her years in the patch, she has developed a proven track record in the areas of strategy development, project management, operational execution and results delivery.
Most recently in her role as VP of HR for Petro-Canada, Sue was accountable and responsible for the delivery of all human resources services corporation-wide. With her team, she realigned the HR organization to better support delivery of Petro-Canada’s business strategy. In doing so, HR team capacity and focus moved to business case development, results delivery, project management, customer service and accountability.
Prior to then and as VP, In Situ Development and Operations, Sue was accountable and responsible for overall business results for the In Situ department of the Oil Sands Business Unit including project development, plant operations, technical support services, technology and research development, stewardship of technical excellence
Sue has been actively involved in the community throughout her career and remains a member of numerous industries, academic and not-for-profit Boards and Councils.
