Our Events
The Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter organizes several events every year to raise operating funds and build public awareness about family violence.
Our Turning Points Gala (an online event in 2009) raises hundreds of thousands for essential services. Our Tulip Awards and Annual General Meeting acknowledge the work of our dedicated supporters. During Family Violence Prevention Month (LINK to events listing page) our education campaigns ramp up as we encourage Calgarians to speak out against family violence in our city.
In addition, we work with numerous individuals and businesses to hold events throughout the city. From benefit concerts to high-profile golf tournaments these events raise over $200,000 for the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter each year.
We encourage new events big and small. We are always interested in new partnerships and look forward to supporting your fund raising or awareness building event however we can.
