men's counselling service

Stopping family violence is a priority, so CWES continues to develop its program to encourage men to come forward and change their violent/controlling behaviours.

Men who want to stop abusive and violent behaviours that are impacting the people they love and stopping them from realizing their dreams can call our Men's Counselling Service for free, respectful, non-judgmental individual and group counselling.

When a man enters the individual or group counselling, his female partner and children also become part of our outreach programs. The partners receive support and education through the Men’s Counselling Services’ Partner Support Program, helping them plan for a safe future for themselves and their children.

Last year, 252 men and women took part in the Men’s Counselling Service with individual and group counselling sessions. More than 75 percent of the women involved reported a dramatic change in their partner’s abusive behaviour after counselling with the Men’s Counselling Service.
