Women and children who leave the shelter are offered longer-term support from our Community Outreach Program. An Outreach Service Counsellor ensures they have the suppotr they need to integrate into the community and continue along their journeys towards lives free of violence. 

The Community Outreach Program continues to build the confidence, knowledge, empowerment and skills of women through continued counselling and by connecting women with community resources and assisting them in building informal support networks.

In 2007, Outreach and Follow-up Services helped 419 women and 622 children cope with family violence by providing counselling, support and information after their shelter stay.
