Community Resource Counselling Program

The Community Resource Counselling Program provides support for women through individual counselling (telephone or face-to-face), safety planning, goal planning, information, and referrals to community resources. The program fosters client directed positive life changes by empowering and encouraging self-sufficiency in women by exploring strategies that help build independence, confidence and autonomy. This free program, which can be accessed through three community resource centres, helps support clients as they integrate into the community and continue along their journeys toward a life free of family violence and abuse.

The Community Resource Centres are accessed through the following locations: Heart of the Northeast Community Solutions Resource Centre (Village Square), Centre for Family Resources (Huntington Hills), and North Rocky View Community Links (Aidrie).

A woman can be living with her abuser to access these programs or she may be living on her own.

Call the Family Violence Helpline for access to any programs or for more information.
