Community Resource Counsellors
The Community Resource Centre Family Violence Counselling program provides counselling, information and referrals to individuals who access the resource center and are living with family violence. Referrals are made to the counsellor via the following resource centres: North East, North Central and North Rockyview (Airdrie).
Community Resource Counsellors provide FREE of charge:
- Emotional counselling without judging.
- Safety planning.
- Information and referrals.
- Parenting support.
- Help with court and legal issues.
- Help finding a new home.
- Childcare and play therapy.
- Individual and group counselling.
- Limited essentials to get started if needed such as food and clothing.
- Help and support.
- Support to leave an abusive relationship.
- Support to get safer while in an abusive relationship.
- Contact with an Outreach Counsellor for ongoing support up to a year.
