The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter is the only organization that offers specialized programming for women over 50 who are living in an abusive situation. Working with specialized counsellors, women in the Older Women Living Safely (OWLS) program learn how to stay safe, link to resources in the community and to support one another.
