Community Services Counselling Program

Our Community Services Program offers short-term, crisis focused support for individuals who have experienced domestic violence and are looking for a safe environment to talk about and get help with their experiences. The program helps participants identify goals to enhance safety, access parenting guidance and connect with community resources tailored to their needs.

Program staff provide in-person sessions at a safe location, by phone or virtual technology. These sessions include emotional care, risk assessments, safety planning,  goal setting, referrals to community services, and information about domestic violence. The program is designed to walk alongside individuals on their journey toward a life free from violence and abuse.

To access the Community Services Counselling Program or other appropriate services, call our free 24-Hour Helpline at 403.234.7233 (SAFE) to speak with a counsellor.

You’ll find someone who cares and does their best to understand and support you in your situation.

Counsellors provide support, safety planning, referrals to community resources, goal planning, and information about domestic violence – to support people in their journeys towards lives free from abuse.

Counselling is offered in-person at a safe location, through virtual technology, and over the phone.
