Court Program
The Court Program provides navigation of the Family Law system and support for individuals who have or are currently experiencing domestic violence and abuse. Participation in the program increases preparedness to interact with the Family court system and connections to the appropriate professionals to assist people to navigate the court system.
The Court Case Coordinator:
- Provides information and guidance to navigate the court process (Family Law).
- Assists with safety planning.
- Offers referrals for identified needs, including legal advocacy.
- Accompanies clients to court and connects them with necessary court personnel.
- Helps to navigate court paperwork.
The program assists participants to feel better prepared for the court process, experience increased safety while engaging with the legal system, and helps the court process to be more accessible and navigable.
