Media and Newsroom

The FearIsNotLove (formerly the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter) team members are leaders in the field of domestic violence. Our approach gives a fresh perspective on abuse that does two things: we do not excuse the actions of the abuser and we acknowledge the strength and resistance of the people being abused.

Our Chief Executive Officer, staff, volunteers and some of our clients have been featured in media stories across Canada. Many of our team members present our research at national conferences, and we are regularly invited to speak about family violence in Calgary and around the globe.
